Often overlooked are the nuances of a fuel site’s blueprint, which varies greatly from one country to another, due to the unique challenges each electricity grid presents.
Sadly, fuel infrastructure is not earmarked to be a critical design area. Commonly the design is done by the drafting team and the use of a mere slow little token filtration system is going to fail and unfortunately it will only be a matter of time.
The blueprint for a site’s fuel infrastructure is essential, especially in areas with high contamination levels. It’s often treated as an afterthought and isn’t understood at all. Some countries have higher fuel contamination levels than others, which is directly related to various factors including the country and the site’s infrastructure as well as human behaviour. It’s common for bulk tank deliveries to contain 2000L of water (“road tax”) and once pumped into the tank, it’s owned!
We assist specialists, consultants, and engineers with configuration design to enable them to consider the complete blueprint design for improved system dependability, efficiency and contamination prevention.
